About you

Are you an experienced Product Manager looking for a new challenge? You will have worked in EdTech, learning technologies or corporate communications and should be comfortable in a creative and down-to-earth start-up environment. We are a small and friendly team, so cultural fit will be important for us and for you. You will be motivated by our purpose – to support our clients’ organisational performance by combining the fields of learning, communications and employee engagement. You will be capable of crafting a great product strategy that will help us and our clients to achieve this vision.

The role

As Product Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and will collaborate with colleagues in sales, marketing and development. Working closely with the Head of Marketing, you’ll develop a thorough understanding of our audience, stakeholder requirements and market opportunity. You’ll define the product development strategy and work with the Technical Product Owner and the development team to implement it. 

A successful Product Manager will be able to balance creativity, problem solving and commercial thinking – you will need to identify ways to better meet users’ needs and attract new clients through ongoing product innovation. As part of a tight-knit team, this role will be varied and requires involvement in many aspects of the business. It’s a great opportunity to take real ownership of a product and to make a valued contribution in a growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Developing the product vision and value proposition
  • Managing the product roadmap, working closely with our product owner 
  • Being the voice of the product and acting as a product advocate 
  • Capturing stakeholder requirements in the form of clients’ needs and pain points as well as marketing and sales team insights
  • Translating requirements into successful product improvements
  • With the sales team, designing 5App’s pricing model to keep competitive in the market whilst reflecting the value the product delivers 

Required skills and experience  

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a product management role, in a B2B Enterprise SaaS setting, in either the edtech, learning technologies or communications sector
  • Knowledge of the learning/comms platform market 
  • Experience holding responsibility for product vision / value proposition / roadmap 
  • An understanding of how products influence organisational outcomes for clients – whether it’s meeting important regulatory requirements or supporting culture change 
  • An articulate and emotionally intelligent communicator, confident dealing with clients at all levels and the technical delivery team 

Bonus

  • An understanding of B2B SaaS pricing models/approaches, including with direct and indirect sales channels
  • Understanding of user experience design and/or learning design principles
  • Experience working in a small team or entrepreneurial setting

The Role

Would you like to make learning fun and engaging? We do. We’re looking for creative engineers to help expand our team and support our service on more devices, using React-Native App, Progressive Web App, even Gamepad interface isn’t unrealistic. We have some interesting technical challenges to distribute our app to more geographies via, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes? Character Profile/Experience

  • You should ideally have several years’ experience in software development working with other engineers.
  • Good verbal and written English language communication skills. And not shy from writing technical requirements/documentation.
  • A motivated, pro-active, self-starter with a success oriented attitude.
  • A demonstrated ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines in a real-time operational environment.

Specific Responsibilities

You will be part of the team, developing our products in line with security and performance best practice. You may also be involved in customer liaison, management of incidents, supporting colleagues, reporting on progress and resolving technical issues.

The Role

We’re looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join us on developing our learning platform and helping learners get a great experience, where ever they are in the world, which ever device they’re using.

You’ll take ownership of our deployment pipeline and expand our network to serve content to our global customers in the fastest time possible whilst maintaining integrity and reliability.

Skills

  • Experience in a similar DevOps Engineering / Lead DevOps role
  • Take charge and work autonomously
  • Experience with AWS / Rackspace
  • Good understanding of NodeJs
  • Container deloyments, Docker, Docker Swarm or Kubernetes
  • Linux Administration
  • Continuous Deployment using tools such as Ansible
  • Understanding of CDN’s and how to use them effectively.
  • Log monitoring service such as Elk, Logstash
  • Good verbal and written communication skills – you don’t shy away from writing technical requirements / documentation
  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a real-time operational environment.

Bonus

Any experience or exposure to OWASP, ISO27001, GDPR would be bonus.
